Extension: Dual Mobile Viewer (Chrome extension)

Summary

Dual Mobile Viewer splits your browser window and opens a mobile-simulated view of the current page. We do not operate servers that receive your browsing data.

What the extension does locally

  • Read the URL of the active tab when you tap “Split view”
  • Resize and reposition windows using Chrome windows APIs
  • Apply declarativeNetRequest rules to rewrite User-Agent on the right-hand window only
  • Remember your last selected device preset in local storage (optional)

What is not collected

  • We do not upload URLs, page content, or browsing history to developer servers
  • We do not sell or share data with third parties for advertising
  • We do not require an account

Permissions

Dual Mobile Viewer requests windows (split and create windows), tabs (read active URL), and declarativeNetRequest (mobile User-Agent on the simulated window). See the Chrome Web Store listing for details.

Data retention and deletion

Local settings remain until you:

  • Remove the Dual Mobile Viewer extension, or
  • Clear extension data in Chrome (chrome://extensions → Dual Mobile Viewer → Details → Clear data)

Children

Dual Mobile Viewer is not directed at children under 13.
