Extension: Tab Flight (Chrome extension)

Summary

Tab Flight stores your browsing route locally on your device. We do not operate servers that receive your browsing data, and we do not require an account.

What data is stored

When you browse the web with Tab Flight installed, the extension may store web history–related information locally, including:

  • Domain of sites you visit (e.g. github.com)
  • Path within a site when relevant (e.g. /repo/page) to distinguish visits
  • Timestamp of each visit
  • Derived metadata such as approximate geographic coordinates used for route animation (from static domain mapping, not GPS or IP)
  • Optional display name (“Captain” greeting) if you enter one
  • Settings such as animation speed defaults

What is not collected

  • We do not collect passwords, form fields, or page content
  • We do not collect GPS location or IP address for tracking
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising
  • We do not sync your route to our servers
  • We do not use your data for creditworthiness or lending decisions

Third-party services

  • Site icons may be loaded via Chrome’s favicon API or Google’s favicon service when displaying the carousel
  • Web fonts (Pretendard, JetBrains Mono) may be loaded from public CDNs for UI display

Permissions

Tab Flight requests access to tabs and URLs to build your route, storage to keep your log, and favicon access to show site icons. See the Chrome Web Store listing for details.

Data retention and deletion

Your route remains until you:

  • Remove the Tab Flight extension, or
  • Clear extension data in Chrome (chrome://extensions → Tab Flight → Details → Clear data)

Children

Tab Flight is not directed at children under 13.
