Summary

MathXRay explains formulas you select on web pages. Analysis runs only when you explicitly request it. We do not browse your tabs in the background.

What MathXRay processes

• The formula or LaTeX text you select when you choose Analyze
• Language and extension preferences stored locally in Chrome

What is not collected

• Full page HTML is not uploaded for analysis
• We do not log or track your browsing history in the background
• We do not sell personal data to third parties for advertising
• No account is required for basic use

When analysis runs

MathXRay activates only when you select text and trigger analysis via the context menu, keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+X / Cmd+Shift+X), or extension UI.

Permissions

MathXRay may request host access to read selected content on pages you visit and storage for local settings. See the Chrome Web Store listing for exact permissions.

Data retention and deletion

Local preferences remain until you:

• Remove the MathXRay extension, or
• Clear extension data in Chrome (chrome://extensions → MathXRay → Details → Clear data)

Children

MathXRay is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
