Extension: PromptDeck (Chrome extension)

Summary

PromptDeck is a local-first prompt library launcher for supported web LLM chat sites. Your prompt packs, settings, persona fields, and memory stay on your device. We do not operate a PromptDeck backend that receives your prompts or browsing data.

What PromptDeck stores locally

  • Prompt packs (including custom edits) in chrome.storage.local
  • Extension settings: auto-send, default language, ECC library visibility, shortcuts
  • Persona and memory fields used when composing prompts

Bundled content

Work packs and the packaged ECC workspace ship inside the extension and load via chrome.runtime.getURL. They are not downloaded from a remote PromptDeck server at runtime.

What is not collected by us

  • No PromptDeck backend — prompts, chat page content, and persona data are not uploaded to developer servers
  • No account required in the current release
  • No in-app purchase or subscription billing in the current release
  • We do not sell personal data for advertising

Third-party LLM sites

When you insert a prompt into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, or other supported sites, that text is handled by those services under their own policies. PromptDeck does not intercept or store your conversations on our servers.

Permissions

PromptDeck may request host access on supported LLM chat domains to show the palette and insert text into chat inputs, and storage for packs and settings. See the Chrome Web Store listing for details.

Data retention and deletion

Local data remains until you:

  • Edit or remove packs and settings in the extension
  • Remove PromptDeck, or
  • Clear extension data in Chrome (chrome://extensions → PromptDeck → Details → Clear data)

Changes
