Summary
Forest of Serenity replaces your Chrome new tab with temple scenery, a clock, and quotes. The new tab runs locally in your browser. We do not operate servers that receive your browsing history.
What Forest of Serenity stores locally
- Language preference (Korean or English)
- Extension settings in chrome.storage on your device
What is not collected
- Browsing history is not uploaded to developer servers
- Search queries are handled by Google when you use the built-in search — see Google’s privacy policy
- We do not sell personal data for advertising
- No account is required
Permissions
Forest of Serenity may request storage for settings and permission to override the new tab page. See the Chrome Web Store listing for details.
Data retention and deletion
Local data remains until you:
- Change settings in the extension
- Remove the Forest of Serenity extension, or
- Clear extension data in Chrome (chrome://extensions → Forest of Serenity → Details → Clear data)
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
