Extension: Workmask (Chrome extension)

Summary

Workmask applies a local productivity-style overlay on web pages you visit. We do not operate servers that receive your browsing content. Workmask is not affiliated with any third-party software brand.

What Workmask stores

  • Selected theme and shortcut preferences
  • Optional work-screen capture images for the full-screen overlay (browser only)
  • Optional sync via chrome.storage.sync when signed in to Chrome

What is not collected

  • Page content is not uploaded to developer servers
  • Capture images are not uploaded to developer servers
  • We do not track browsing history for advertising
  • No account is required

How the overlay works

Workmask injects generic UI chrome and may update tab title and favicon locally. Your underlying page is rendered in the browser — nothing is sent externally for the overlay to work.

Permissions

Host access, storage, and tab metadata permissions may be required to apply themes and tab appearance changes. See the Chrome Web Store listing for details.

Data retention and deletion

Settings and capture images remain until you:

  • Remove them in the extension popup, or
  • Remove the Workmask extension, or
  • Clear extension data in Chrome (chrome://extensions → Workmask → Details → Clear data)

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
