Extension: DualView (Chrome extension)

Summary

DualView adjusts Chrome window size and position on your device. We do not operate servers that receive your browsing or window data, and we do not require an account.

What DualView does locally

  • Resize and position the active Chrome window (snap left/right, split screen, restore)
  • Open a new Chrome window when you use split screen with the same URL as the current tab
  • Use each monitor’s work area when calculating window bounds

What may be stored on your device

DualView may keep the following only in Chrome local storage on your device:

  • Keyboard shortcut preferences you set in the extension popup
  • Previous window bounds before a snap, so “restore” can return to the prior size when possible

What is not collected

  • We do not collect or upload page content, passwords, or form fields
  • We do not collect browsing history or a log of URLs for analytics
  • We do not collect GPS location or IP address for tracking
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising
  • We do not sync your data to our servers

Third-party services

  • Web fonts (Pretendard, JetBrains Mono) may be loaded from public CDNs on this support website only—not inside the extension UI for core window actions

Permissions

DualView uses Chrome extension APIs to read and change window geometry for the commands you trigger. It does not read page content. See the Chrome Web Store listing for the exact permissions requested.

Data retention and deletion

Stored shortcut or restore data remains until you:

  • Remove the DualView extension, or
  • Clear extension data in Chrome (chrome://extensions → DualView → Details → Clear data)

Children

DualView is not directed at children under 13.
