FAQ

Does SendGuard connect to my Gmail account?

No. There is no Gmail API, OAuth, or account linking. SendGuard reads the compose UI in your open Gmail tab and runs checks locally in the browser.

Does SendGuard store my emails or recipients?

No. Email body and recipient addresses are not stored. Only extension settings (company domains, word lists, rule toggles, theme) are saved — mostly in chrome.storage.sync.

Can I still send if SendGuard pauses me?

Yes. Every pause includes a “Send anyway” option. SendGuard is a helper, not a blocker you cannot override.

What send actions are checked?

Send button, Ctrl/Cmd+Enter, and scheduled send. Attachment warnings may use a SendGuard Shadow DOM modal.

How do company domain and external labels work?

Configure your company domain(s) in Options. Recipients outside those domains get “external” labels and trigger external-recipient hints and sensitive-word rules when enabled.

Which languages are supported?

UI and default word lists for attachment hints, placeholders, and sensitive terms follow Korean, English, or Japanese based on your extension UI language. You can edit chips in Settings → Word management.
