Summary

PromptShot captures regions you select on web pages and copies images and preset prompt text to your clipboard locally in your browser. We do not operate servers that receive your captures or page content.

What PromptShot stores locally

• Extension settings (language, theme, preset choices)
• Custom presets (Pro) in chrome.storage on your device
• Keyboard shortcut preferences (Pro)
• Optional Pro license or purchase state if applicable

What is not collected

• Captures and page content are not uploaded to developer servers
• We do not track browsing history beyond what you explicitly capture
• We do not sell personal data for advertising
• No account is required for core capture features

Permissions

PromptShot may request host access to capture visible page regions, storage for settings and presets, and clipboard access for copy actions. See the Chrome Web Store listing for details.

Data retention and deletion

Local data remains until you:

• Change or remove presets and settings in the extension
• Remove the PromptShot extension, or
• Clear extension data in Chrome (chrome://extensions → PromptShot → Details → Clear data)

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
