Does PromptShot upload captures to a server?
No. Capture and settings are processed locally in your browser. Page content is not uploaded to developer servers.
What is copied to the clipboard?
The selected region as an image, together with the prompt text from your chosen preset — ready to paste into an LLM or coding assistant.
What is included in Free vs Pro?
Free includes area capture, image + prompt copy, and basic presets. Pro adds custom presets, capture shortcuts, a post-capture highlight pen, and more as features ship.
Can I create my own prompts?
Custom presets are a Pro feature. Free users can choose from built-in presets.
Does it work on any website?
It works on standard web pages. Some restricted pages (chrome://, the Web Store, or certain embedded viewers) may block capture.
Where are settings stored?
Locally in chrome.storage on your device. Nothing is sent to developer servers for normal use.
