How is Umbra different from a simple invert?
Umbra tries Tier A (site dark theme), then Tier B (design-color remap), then Tier C (readable retune) — stopping when one works. It avoids muddy inverted colors.
What is the keyboard shortcut?
Alt+Shift+Q toggles Umbra globally. Customize at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
Does Umbra collect browsing history?
No. Umbra does not collect, sell, or transmit visit history or analytics. Settings may sync via Chrome sync (Google account). Themes stay on your device.
Can I use Umbra with Dark Reader?
You can install both, but do not enable both on the same site — colors will be transformed twice.
Why does one site look wrong?
Tier C results vary. Canvas apps, closed shadow DOM, and PDF viewers are unsupported. Disable Umbra for that site only.
Is there an Umbra account or subscription?
No. The current release is free with no Umbra account.
