Does Workmask send my browsing data to a server?
No. The overlay runs locally. Page content is not uploaded to developer servers.
How do I toggle the overlay?
Default shortcut is Alt+X. Change it in the popup or at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
Which themes are available?
18 generic productivity-style themes — spreadsheet, presentation, document, mail, issue tracker, code editor, and similar layouts. They are not official UIs of any specific product.
Is Workmask affiliated with Microsoft, Google, or other brands?
No. Workmask is not partnered with, endorsed by, or affiliated with any third-party software brand. Themes are generic styles only.
Does the tab title change?
While the overlay is on, favicon and tab title may change to match the selected theme.
What is the capture overlay?
Optional: upload your own work-screen screenshot to show full-screen when the overlay is active. Images stay in the browser only.
Can I still interact with the page?
Yes. Workmask adds an overlay shell — your content remains clickable and scrollable underneath.
Does it work on every site?
Most standard pages work. Some sites with strict CSP or heavy custom UI may behave differently — report URLs if you hit issues.
